Description
The garden is set in a little valley overlooking Lyttelton Harbour with a handsome background of volcanic hills. The upper terraced gardens are structured about parallel and cross axes into a number of garden rooms; a formal rose garden, herbacous borders leading to a gazebo, a square walled red garden and a pleached hornbeam walk connecting a hedged oval with a herb potager.There are numerous stone and metal sculptures. A little valley runs alongside the terraced garden making a contrasting woodland haven.
